Celebright: warranty, cost, reviews, and how to compare a quote

Celebright is a professionally installed permanent architectural lighting system sold through dealers across North America. It mounts in an aluminium track, of which the manufacturer offers more than eleven profiles including custom options, runs on what Celebright describes as a patented 24-volt system, and is controlled from its own app. Two published claims set it apart on paper: a ten-year warranty, the longest fixed term we found in this category, and LEDs rated at 90-plus CRI, a colour-accuracy figure most rivals do not state. Celebright does not publish pricing and does not sell direct or DIY. What the system actually is

Celebright positions itself as architectural lighting first and holiday lighting second, and its site makes a handful of specific claims:

• Track profiles. More than eleven, including custom, designed to be invisible by day and to fit, in the manufacturer's words, any roofline or architectural feature. That is the largest stated range of profiles in this category, and it matters on houses with unusual trim.
• 24-volt system. Celebright describes a patented 24V system with high-efficiency converters, positioned for brightness with low energy use. Most rivals do not state their voltage; the practical question for you is where the converters live and how they are wired.
• Colour accuracy. LEDs rated at 90-plus CRI, which Celebright says gives true-to-colour light with no fringing. CRI is a real measure of how faithfully a light renders colour; it matters most if you care how the house itself looks under the lights, not just the lights.
• Control. A proprietary app with, per the manufacturer, custom scenes, more than sixteen million colours, and zone control so different areas of the house can run different settings.
• Construction. Described as weather-resistant and commercial-grade, with a one-time, maintenance-free install.

Choosing a track profile, and why it matters on your house

Celebright's eleven-plus profiles are the thing to ask about first if your trim is not a plain fascia board. A track profile is the cross-section of the aluminium channel: how deep it is, how it sits against the surface, and whether it is designed for a flat fascia, an angled soffit, a stone or brick face, or a decorative moulding. Most brands offer one or two. The reason it matters is that the channel is what makes the system invisible by day, and a profile that does not sit flush on your particular trim leaves a shadow line or a visible gap that no amount of colour matching hides. Ask the dealer which profile they would use on each part of your house, why, and whether any of it needs a custom profile and what that adds to the quote and the lead time. A dealer who answers that quickly has done houses like yours; one who has to look it up may be about to learn on your roofline.

The ten-year warranty

Celebright publishes a ten-year warranty. Among the brands that state a fixed term, that is the longest: EverLights states five years on parts, Oelo seven years for dealer installs. Trimlight's lifetime product warranty is longer in name but is defined by the manufacturer's estimated component lifespan, so the comparison is not quite like for like.

As with every brand, the number is the start of the question. Ask what the ten years covers, whether labour is included or only parts, and what a service call costs if it is not. Celebright is dealer-only, so the dealer is who you will be calling; ask them, in writing, what they cover beyond the manufacturer's terms.

What Celebright says it costs

Nothing specific, on its site. Celebright does not publish a per-foot figure or a project range. A case study on its site frames the system's cost against several years of paying for seasonal installs, which is the standard argument for the category and not a price. Your dealer sets the number, and it moves with the same factors as every brand: length of run, corners and peaks, height and access, where the power and converters go, and which track profile your trim needs. What to look for in Celebright reviews

Celebright has the smallest search footprint of the brands in this series, which means fewer independent reviews and a higher share of dealer content. The useful ones:

• Your dealer's reviews, by business name. With a dealer-only model, the dealer is the variable. Celebright's app ratings, which the manufacturer publishes, tell you about the app, not the crew.
• Reviews that mention the track on unusual trim. The eleven-plus profiles are Celebright's distinctive claim; owners with dormers, stone, or odd fascia are the ones who can tell you whether it delivered.
• Reviews that mention the white. A 90-plus CRI claim is about how the house looks under white light. Owners who bought it for that will say whether they noticed.
• Reviews from a year or more in. A ten-year warranty is only meaningful if the dealer is still there to honour it.

1. Have you installed on a house like mine? Ask to see it, especially if your trim is unusual.
2. Which track profile and colour, and can I see it against my trim?
3. Where do the converters and controller go, and how is the 24-volt wiring routed?
4. How do you handle corners, peaks and transitions?
5. What does the ten-year warranty cover, is labour included, and what do you cover beyond it? In writing.
6. What is in the quote and what is extra?
7. When can you do it?
